For Flagstaff City Council

OPEN, HONEST GOVERNANCE YOU CAN TRUST

As a former county recorder and election administrator, I know what our communities need to thrive. Flagstaff deserves transparent, accountable leadership that puts residents first. I listen, I engage, and I govern with fiscal responsibility—making smart investments while protecting taxpayer dollars.

Priorities

Listening to the Community

Council meetings limit real dialogue. I will hold regular town halls so residents can speak directly with me and help shape the issues before Council.

Affordable Housing Solutions

We can’t build our way out of Flagstaff’s housing crisis. Real solutions require collaboration—working with other communities and proven partners like Strong Towns to implement strategies that actually work.

Providing Core City Services

Our city is uniquely beautiful and our essential services make that possible. As a councilmember, I will focus on making Flagstaff’s core services like emergency response, streets, and utilities work better for the people who rely on them every day.

Public Safety Built on Trust

Safety requires fairness and accountability. I support policing that rejects bias, respects civil rights, and answers to the community it serves

Preparing for ICE

Immigrants make our communities great. I stand with cities across the U.S. where people have faced unlawful arrests, violence, and even death while peacefully protesting or documenting ICE actions. Flagstaff’s leaders must be ready to protect our constitutional rights.

Protecting the Climate

Environmental responsibility is what brought me into public service. Climate change is already impacting Flagstaff through hotter, drier weather and increased wildfire risk. I am fully committed to delivering on Flagstaff’s Carbon Neutrality Plan.

Supporting Local Businesses

Our local businesses are what make Flagstaff special — they give our community its character, create jobs, and keep money circulating right here at home. Money spent locally funds essential services and keeps our city strong. I support efforts to buy and shop local because strong small businesses mean a stronger Flagstaff for all of us.

Meet Patty

Patty has been a member and leader of the Flagstaff community for over 20 years. She has dedicated her entire life to public service, having worked in Federal, State and County governments. Most recently, Patty served as the elected Coconino County Recorder, championing the rights of all citizens to have their voices heard by voting. She also served as president of the Arizona Association of County Recorders. Her unique experience has given her a broad understanding of how to accomplish tasks effectively.

As Coconino County Recorder, Patty delivered real improvements for voters:

1) Opened a satellite voter registration and early voting office at the Flagstaff Mall, making it easier for people to vote close to home.

2) Expanded access in Native communities by staffing the Alta Edison Native American Voter Outreach Office year-round.

3) Launched a mobile voting program that brought voter registration and early voting directly to residents on the Navajo Nation, Hopi Reservation, Havasupai Reservation, and in the San Juan Paiute community.

4) Offered drive-up early ballot drop-off on Election Day at the downtown Flagstaff office for every election.
